SAFEGUARDING
Safe support is
good support.
The safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we work with comes first, in every session and every placement.
Safeguarding in every placement
Before sessions begin, we agree with the referrer how information will be shared, where sessions will take place and how any concerns will be raised and recorded. Each placement is risk assessed, and the assessment is reviewed when circumstances change.
Information for commissioners and families
Local authorities, schools and families can request our current safeguarding and child protection policy, the contact details of the person responsible for safeguarding, and information about recruitment checks and staff training for a proposed placement.
If you are worried about a child
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For a non-emergency concern, contact the children’s social care service for the area where the child lives. You can also call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000. Children and young people can call Childline on 0800 1111. Do not wait for a response through this website.
